This 16,000 square foot new church building included worship, narthex, fellowship, office, and kitchen spaces. The worship space was constructed with glue-laminated arched beams.

This project consisted of addition and interior renovation to this existing church. The project expanded narthex space and opened the back wall of the sanctuary to allow for overflow seating in the narthex space. Note the custom steel and stained-glass cross, back lit with color adjusting LED lighting.

The accessibility renovation of this 100 year-old historic building included a new elevator, restroom renovation, and installation of additional restrooms. Challenges included the construction of a new elevator shaftway inside this historic building and ensuring that it looked as if it has been there for 100 years.

When the First Congregational United Church of Christ needed to renovate their iconic Madison building they reached out to McKee Associates. Teaming with the Church and Dimension IV Architects through the design, budget, and bidding of this interior and exterior renovation and accessibility project, we were able to meet all of the challenges that come with working on a 90 year-old building. This church is now ready to serve its congregation for another 90 years.

We have worked with and known the McKee family for over forty years. McKee Associates, Inc has been great to work with from the beginning of design to the bidding and constructing of our Public Services Storage Building. During the design process, Vince would bring in sample of materials and was very helpful with construction aspects of things that we could do or shouldn’t do. During the bidding process, Vince was able to get very competitive bids and get a good bid for us. During the construction phase we came into some unforeseen site issues and Vince and the construction manager were able to walk us through the details and find a remedy that was cost effective.
