Constructed on one of Dane County’s premier lakefront parks, this picnic shelter was constructed using age-old heavy timber mortise and tenon joinery. Through a Dane County Parks recycling program, all wood timber and wood shingle materials were reclaimed locally from Dane County parkland.
Vilas Zoo Dining Plaza – Madison, WI

The construction of the two dining structures for the Henry Vilas Zoo presented a whole host of challenges. Not only was construction completed during normal operating hours, but noise and dust production had to be scheduled with zoo staff in order to prevent any adverse effects on the animals on exhibit.
Indian Lake – Cross Plains, WI

This project consisted of two buildings, a parking lot, prairie restoration, and bio-pond construction. Both the picnic shelter and restroom buildings utilized heavy timber construction from materials harvested from Dane County Parks land.
Fireman’s Park Shelter – Deforest, WI

This new park shelter features a covered picnic area, fireplace, restrooms, community room, and a food and drinks vending area. This park will host many community events including Friday Flicks, Brews & Bites, Fri-YAY, and Yahara Riverfest to name a few.
Fireman’s Park Shelter Band Shell- Deforest, WI

This new park structure will be utilized as an outdoor stage performing area for community events. The size and shape of the structure is designed to help amplify and project the performances from the stage.
Taylor Memorial Park Shelter – Middleton, WI

This picnic, restroom, and concession structure was built to support adjacent sports fields, play structures, and basketball & pickleball courts.
Conservancy Place Athletic Complex – DeForest, WI

This community sports complex will be used for both youth and adult competition from non-competitive recreational play to highly competitive tournaments. The facility includes two football/lacrosse fields and four softball/baseball fields. Two of the softball/baseball fields have synthetic turf infield and adjustable outfield fencing allowing for quick field size changes for different age competitions. The shelter building houses a picnic area, restrooms, and a full concession facility.
