Pushing the envelope of both design and energy efficient construction made this project a unique one. The design included passive solar construction and clear story windows for daylighting, but rooflines also allowed for solar photovoltaic panels for part of the facility’s electrical use. This project also included geothermal heating via wells and pumps on site. All of this resulted in a “green” building with a low carbon footprint.
